Louisiana State Representative Jane Smith’s message was crystal-clear: “Our State Capitol is NOT FOR SALE!”  Smith made that statement during her noon-time appearance at the Bossier City Lion’s Club this Thursday.  And, she echoed Governor Bobby Jindal’s call for ‘Ethics Reform’ soon to be addressed in the first special session of the legislature in Baton Rouge.

Serving her final term as one of Bossier’s State Representatives, Smith now has “senior-status’ among the Class of ’08 in Baton Rouge…(by the way, she tells ‘The Talk of the Town’ that her long-term plans at the end of 2012, do not include a run for the State Senate), adding “I’ll retire as a State Representative”, Smith told Tom Pace.

Jane Smith was adamant when she said, “I’m tired of everyone saying we’re (the state legislators) are a bunch of crooks in Louisiana.”  According to Smith, she’s not aware of any state representives who have been indicted this past year…about any state senators (being indicted), she said she doesn’t know.
