“Gwen’s Law” Founder Theresa Pearl Donald & State Rep. Roy Burrell on Domestic Violence Bill Passage with Tom Pace

On May 2nd, 2014, a terrible tragedy unfolded in Desoto Parish, when Gwen Cox Salley’s estranged husband Mike, took her hostage, forced her to drive into Caddo Parish…then shot and killed her in cold blood. Salley would then turn the gun on himself and commit suicide: all while police were watching.

Gwen’s sister, Theresa Cox Salley has carried on the fight to help domestic violence victims thru the passage of what’s referred to as “Gwen’s Law” – recently authored by State Rep. Roy Burrell & passed by the Louisiana State Legislature in 2014.3 new amendments

Theresa & State Rep. Burrell were guests on the “Talk of the Town with Tom Pace” Monday, June 9th in Studio 3A as they discussed “Gwen’s Law” and how 3 new amendments can give more teeth to those fighting domestic abuse and violence.
