Bossier City, LA. By Tom Pace 7-28-14 Bossier District Attorney Schuyler Marvin today announced he will seek the Death Penalty in a First Degree Murder case.
“After much consideration, I have decided to seek the death penalty in the case of State of Louisiana versus Brandon Butler. I have formally notified Mr. Butler’s counsel of record. Mr. Butler was indicted for two counts of First Degree Murder by a Bossier Parish grand jury on July 7, 2014,” said D.A. Marvin.
“Because Mr. Butler viciously took the lives of Karyl Cox, 26, and Jacqueline Beadle, 24, without any regard led me to this decision. Both of these young women leave behind small children who will never get to know their mothers.”
D.A. Marvin continued, “The death penalty is an available option under Louisiana law andwe intend to present our case and evidence to a trial jury.”
